We have full repair facilities for violin, viola, cello, and bass. Instruments produced from our line have a full lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Most repair work is done in-house by certified violinmaker Franz-Christian Thumser, while varnish repair and restoration is done by George Settlemire. Repair estimates can only be made in person. It is difficult to determine the level of damage and the exact type of restoration needed unless the instrument is physically available for inspection. Every member of our staff has had experience servicing instruments of the finest makers, including Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri del Gesu, Grancino, Tecchler, Gagliano, and many other fine classic and contemporary makers.

It is always wise to insure one's instrument against theft or irreparable damage. Our shop offers written appraisals for instruments and bows. We include an appraisal free of charge with any instrument purchased through our store. If you wish to insure an instrument or bow you have acquired elsewhere, the charge for a written appraisal is $125.00. Appraisals can only be done in person.
